Birken Construction was contracted by the Jacksonville Jaguars and the City of Jacksonville to build a new Cool Zone Field House at the Jaguars practice field.
The scope consisted of demolition of the existing practice field canopy and storage structure and replace it with a new Cool Zone.
The purpose of this facility is to maintain a temperature of 65 degrees 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The schedule for this job was very tight to ensure construction was completed before pre-season training.
All demolition and new construction was completed within four months.
